It gets me a lot closer to what is true color had i not used a target at all. However, i won't buy one since believe it or not i get good color out of my mismatched target. I will need a second target for provia 100f. So i'm ok, if i keep shooting provia 400x. It can only do provia 400x, but also velvia, velvia 100, velvia 50 and velvia 100f. I thought my target could do provia 400x and provia 100. Ok but be super super careful on what you order. How's your experience of the ones from wolf faust? Thanks! Not sure if I need one for each different types of reversal films. I'm considering buying extra targets for kodak Ektar Chromes and velvia. Have you scanned slides with an IT8 target? I use vuescan for slides and silverfast SE for print.Ītget's Morning Light the Silverfast Ai version that comes with a IT8 target on Provia. Yeah the negafix profiles are rather accurate. The levels, color balance, and hue/saturation tabs can really do it all. In some of my scans I tried turning off as many of the pre-scan color and exposure correction features as possible, and I've gotten pretty good results doing it all in photoshop. The selective color balance tab in SE has been pretty great at fixing unwanted color casts in my superia 400 film. I just purchased the scanner as well, and I'm pretty happy with the color that I'm getting using the different negafix profiles in Silverfast SE. Thoughts from vuescan and silverfast users? Also Vuescan can never get the white balance with slides and even print the first time where as silverfast does, or comes really close. Vuescan is easier to use, but Silverfast has more options and functions that allow editing before the scan. I ask since i am debating if it is worth the 100+ dollars to upgrade from SE to AI.

Has any one profiled their 7600i with IT8 targets in Silverfast 8 AI studio? I am still having white balance issues that require post processing. I profiled my scanner with the IT8 targets in Vuescan and the improvement was incredible. I also ordered the wolf faust IT8 targets for velvia and provia since those are my go to slide films. Hello, i just got my 7600i SE and i love it.
